The Security Police Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran visits the Armenian Police /VIDEO/

On February 25, Head of the RA Police Headquarters Armen Ghukasyan received the Security Police Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Hossein Kalantari, Head of the General Department for Security Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Welcoming the guests, Armen Ghukasian attached importance to the friendly ties between the two countries, which resulted in close cooperation in various spheres, including that of between the two law enforcement agencies which is aimed at the state security and public safety in Armenia and Iran.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Hossein Kalantari, the Head of the Department for Security Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the IRI, noted that Armenia is one of the most popular tourist destinationa for the Iranians. The Iranian side expressed satisfaction with the service rendered by the RA Police in ensuring security of their citizens.
Issues related to the enhancement of cooperation in fight against a number of criminal offenses, issues of road police, border police subdivisions, service of the national central bureaus of Interpol were discussed.
On the same day, Arsen Ayvazyan, Head of the General Department on Combating Organized Crime of Police of the Republic of Armenia, received the Security Police Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Welcoming the guests, Arsen Ayvazyan presented the positive outcomes of cooperation between the two countries.
The law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran actively cooperate in the fight against illicit drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and other types of crime.
Issues related to the quick exchange of information and exchange of experience between the two law enforcement agencies were discussed.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and voicing important issues, Hossein Kalantari expressed willingness to discuss those issues and find the appropriate solutions.
The two sides agreed that in spite of the close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, parallel to the requirements of time, it is necessary to further strengthen the existing cooperation which will involve new directions, as the types of crime also develop, penetrating into different spheres.
Other issues related to the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries were also discussed during the meeting.
On the same day, the Security police delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the RA Police Educational Complex.
Accompanied by the Head of the Educational Complex, Police Major General Mushegh Babayan, the members of the delegation toured the campus, visited educational complex units, specialized auditoriums, gymnasiums and more.
Head of the RA Police Educational Complex Mushegh Babayan welcomed the guests and presented the details of the structure and activities of the Educational complex.
Hossein Kalantari, Head of the Department for Security Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the IRI thanked for an exciting excursion and expressed hope that cooperation will also be established between educational institutions of the law enforcement agencies of the two friendly countries.
The sides highlighted the necessity of future cooperation, which will surely help to make the fight against crime more effectively.
Other issues related to law enforcement education were also discussed during the meeting.
