Clarification

Yesterday at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia gave a briefing to journalists during which he expressed a thought which was misinterpreted by some people and has given rise to some wrong speculations.
In fact, the Police Chief did not insult the journalist, he simply contradicted the latter’s assertion as if she couldn’t see the police reforms. The Police Chief gave an example of not seeing the obvious, saying that it would be the same thing if he said he couldn’t see a woman inside the woman standing in front of him.
By the way, the quotation marks which aren’t actually seen in oral speech were noticed and the metaphor was grasped by a lot of journalists participating in the conversation, which is obvious in their publications.
We call on everybody to refrain from speculations, as the Police Chief has repeatedly showed his willingness to cooperate with the media representatives and has always attached great importance to journalists’ contribution in covering the police activities.
By the way, the initiative of organizing a meeting with journalists in the near future in order to clarify and discuss the existing problems belongs to the Police Chief personally.
We believe that the meeting will prove more useful than replicating all sorts of misinterpretations and speculations.
