The announcement of the Police of the Republic of Armenia connected with the insurance of the constitutional rights of the contenders and the citizens during electoral processes

Giving importance to the normal procedure of the electoral processes, the need for full implementation of the rights of the citizens, including the rights of the presidential candidates, Police of the Republic of Armenia takes the responsibility within its prerogatives to take appropriate measures to provide the proper procedure of the addressed complaints and appeals, to eliminate the barriers connected with electoral processes, maintain the public order, to create such an electoral environment that is appropriate to the democratic society.
Police of the Republic of Armenia will address its whole organizational, professional and human resources to ensure the steady implementation of the right to elect and be elected, without any discrimination which is provided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia and ensure the implementation of the rights of all citizens. The Police of the Republic of Armenia particularly expresses its readiness to ensure the safety of all presidential candidates, according to their application by giving escorting employees to ensure the normal course and proper order during the meetings.
Holding of the assemblies is an indivisible part of the electional processess. Taking into account the significance of this  fundamental constitutional right, especially at election returns, the police of the Republic of Armenia assures the public, being faithful to the adopted and many times justified practices, will unconditionally secure holding of all the meetings within the framework of Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the law on «Freedom of holding meetings».
The police of the Republic of Armenia is pleased to state that a supportive social environment for implementation of the freedom of holding meeting is formed in Armenia, an interaction between the public and solidarity is created, the preservation of which is the ultimate priority not only for the representatives of civil society, but also for the authorities. Only such an environment can be effective, real guarantee to prevent various incidents and possible violations.
The police of the Republic of Armenia calls citizens to request and get support from police with issues related to the electoral processes, as police is called to serve our society, for solving its demands and problems.
