Biographic data
 

Arman Sargsyan was born in Yerevan on June 4, 1978.
In 2000 he graduated from the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, in 2006 he completed the MA course provided by the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia.
Since 2016, he has been a candidate in the Department of Theory and History of Postgraduate Studies at Yerevan State University.
He is an author of a number of scientific articles.
After graduating from the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, he was appointed to the post of detective at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Soviet Department of Internal Affairs.
During 2001 - 2005 he served as an operative in the 2nd division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department of Yerevan.
In 2005-2008 Arman Sargsyan was a senior operative at the operational support unit of the Internal Security Department of the RA Police.
In 2008-2012 he was the Deputy Chief of the Operational Support Division of the Internal Security Department of the RA Police.
In 2012-2014 Arman Sargsyan was the chief of the 1st Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigation of the RA Police.
In 2014-2017 he was the head of the 3rd department (on combating crimes in the sphere of high technologies, human trafficking, illegal migration and terrorism) of the General Department on Combating Organized Crime.
In 2017-2018 years Arman Sargsyan was the First Deputy Head of the General Department of Criminal Investigation of the RA Police.
Pursuant to the decree issued by the President of the Republic of Armenia on May 18, 2018 Arman Sargsyan was appointed to the post of the First Deputy Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia.

Pursuant to the decree issued by the President of the Republic of Armenia on September 19, 2019 Arman Sargsyan was appointed to the post of the Acting Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia.

ursuant to the decree issued by the President of the Republic of Armenia on May 18, 2018 Arman Sargsyan was appointed to the post of the First Deputy Head of Police of the Republic of Armenia.


He is married, with two daughters and a son.

Arman Sargsyan has been awarded a number of departmental medals and orders and honorary titles of the Police and other ministries.
