Representative of the European Union visits the Armenian Police

On Tuesday, November 3 Head of the RA Police Headquarters, Police Major General Aram Zaqaryan received EU auditor Matjaz Saloven. The aim of the meeting was to get familiar with the implementation process of the “Police cooperation program” initiated by the European Commission.
The program aims to support the police cooperation between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries and envisages joint measures to effectively combat cross-border crime and reinforce rule of law.
During the meeting Aram Zaqaryan presented police activities carried out in the relevant direction underlining that those activities have proved to be quite efficient and important in improving police officers’ professional qualities. Further Mr. Zaqaryan set forth the main measures which are to be organized by the end of the year.
