Тhe delegation of the Georgian Patrol Police Department visits Armenia (Photos)

On August 27 head of the RA police headquarters Vardan Eghiazaryan received the delegation of the Georgian Patrol Police Department led by deputy director of the same Department Levan Machavariani.
A preliminary agreement on the visit was reached between head of the RA police Vladimir Gasparyan and Georgian Minister of Internal Аffairs Irakli Gharibashvili. The main aim of the visit was close cooperation between the police structures and exchange of successful experience between the two sides.
Armenian police officers took an interest in the model of the Georgian patrol and inspection service, while the Georgian side was interested in the activity of the new subdivision established within the structure of the Patrol and inspection service of Yerevan city department of the RA police, namely the so called «Angels' battalion».
After a number of meetings with the leadership of the Armenian police the members of the Georgian delegation visited the Patrol and inspection regiment. Within the scope of exchange of experience the Georgian colleagues met with the senior personnel and officers of the Special battalion of The Patrol and inspection service, got familiar with the structure of the subdivision, parameters of personnel selection, peculiarities of service organization, newest ways of work organization.
Levan Machavariani and his accompanying persons visited the Yerevan city department of the RA police, where they met with deputy head of the Department, Police Colonel Valeri Osipyan. Later the Georgian colleagues got familiar with the activity of the Operative administration center “102”. The existence of analogous center, operating within the structure of the Georgian Ministry of internal affairs, gave the Armenian and Georgian colleagues the opportunity  to draw parallels and discuss the prospects of deepening the interaction in that sphere, too. 
Another practical and effective meeting took place in the Central police division. Within the framework of the visit the members of the delegation of the Georgian MIA paid a visit to Tsitsernakaberd, laid flowers in the memorial complex to the victims of Armenian Genocide, visited Armenian Genocide museum-institute, Matenadaran, Mayr Ator S. Ejmiatsin, where they were given a warm welcome.
