JOINT BOARD MEETING TAKES PLACE IN SOCHI (PHOTOS)

On July 29 the meeting of the joint board of the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation and The police of the Republic of Armenia took place in Sochi. The Armenian police delegation led by head of the RA police, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan partook in it.
During the Joint Board meeting Russian Interior minister Police Colonel General Vladimir Kolokolcev and RA police chief  Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan made opening speeches.
During the meeting issues “On cooperation between Russian Ministry of Interior and Armenian police in combating cybercrime”, “On implementation of the decision made by the joint board of the MI of the Russian Federation and The police of the Republic of Armenia on July 23, 2012”, “On the 2014 working plan of the joint board of the Russian MI and The police of the Republic of Armenia» were discussed.
Partly, it was mentioned that the development of the information technologies creates favourable conditions for their criminal use. In this sphere criminal activities like destruction of information and information resources, their alteration, embezzlement, blockade and etc. became widespread. In such circumstances, the necessity for interagency coordination between law enforcement bodies of different countries for the sake of counteraction to High Tech crimes increases. Thus, only in 2012 10227 High tech crimes were registered on the territory of the Russian Federation, while in the same period  50 cybercrimes were registered in the Republic of Armenia. As a result of the measures taken by bodies of inner affairs of the Russian Federation, 2835 users from 66 countries who had spread pornographic materials with the participation of juveniles have been detected since January, 2012. Due to the operational search measures 800 analogous materials were revealed in the Republic of Armenia. The favorable outcome of the works aimed at detecting crimes committed in the sphere of High tech, mostly depends on the effectiveness of strengthening and development of the ties of operative exchange of information between corresponding subdivisions of law enforcement agencies in different countries.
During the meeting of the joint board of the MI of the Russian Federation and The police of the Republic of Armenia relevant decisions on all the issues on the agenda, the 2014 working plan of the joint board of the MI of the Russian Federation and The police of the Republic of Armenia, as well as 2015 working plan project were approved.
By the end of the meeting Russian interior minister Police Colonel General Vladimir Kolokolcev and RA police chief, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan made summary reports.
