Road Traffic Accident Statistics: 01.01.2014-08.01.2014
According to the operations reports of Police of the Republic of Armenia, 53 road traffic accident cases (24 of them - in Yerevan) were registered in the territory of the Republic of Armenia from January 1 to January 8, 2014, in which 10 people died (1 of them - in Yerevan), and 82 people (35 of them – in Yerevan) got bodily injuries of varying levels of gravity.
In the same period of time 10 automobiles were taken to the special Protection Area (penalty area) of Yerevan city Traffic police. 5 drivers (4 of them – in Yerevan) were found to be intoxicated.
The number of fatal RTAs decreased by 1, the number of RTAs decreased by 2, and the number of RTAs resulting in injuries increased by 4 compared to the same period last year.
