STATEMENT OF POLICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

STATEMENT OF POLICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

Police of the Republic of Armenia are determined to restore the traffic along Baghramyan avenue which has been disrupted for two weeks running. The traffic restoration will be carried out by means of removing all the objects and items from Baghramyan avenue's carriage-way which have so far blocked the traffic.
Though the assembly organizers and participants have repeatedly been appealed to voluntarily remove the barriers from Baghramyan avenue, these appeals have been completely defied in the last few days.
Nevertheless, Police of the Republic of Armenia are once more suggesting the assembly organizers and participants that they should remove the barriers from Baghraymyan avenue's carriage-way until 12:30 p.m. today.
Please, take into account that this is the last time Police are warning.
Otherwise, starting from 12:30 p.m. Police will themselves open the avenue acting within the frame of its powers vested by law.
Simultaneously, Police are stating that these actions are not aimed to terminate the assembly, provided it continues beyond Baghramyan avenue's carriage-way and nowise impedes the natural course of traffic.
