MEETING IN POLICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

On August 6 police chief Vladimir Gasparyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Suresh Babu.
Greeting the guest, Vladimir Gasparyan expressed his satisfaction with the fact that Indian police is actively involved in the cooperation and activities within the scope of the Armenian-Indian collaboration.
Touching upon the peculiarities of the current stage of reforms within the police system, police chief Vladimir Gasparyan noted that the modernization of police also includes the spheres of personnel retraining and technical equipment of police services, and the ten-year cooperation with the Indian colleagues in the given spheres has already yielded significant results.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Suresh Babu represented a number of new programs on cooperation with the Armenian police and assured that the cooperation in which the two sides have already succeeded, partly, in the sphere of IT and high technologies, will be continued and broadened.
A number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
