Statement

Statement

Despite the appeals and numerous statements of the Police, rallies continue in various parts of the capital, accompanied by obvious violations of the RA law "On Freedom of Assemblies". They continue to seriously impede the movement of transportation, disproportionately restricting the exercise of the rights and freedoms of other citizens, including the right to freedom of movement.
The unlawful actions of the organizers and participants make the police officers perform their immediate duties of restoring public order and protect the rights of citizens, taking commensurate measures of legal influence against citizens who have committed offenses.
The greatest danger is the actions of blocking the busy streets of the city by cars, committed by the meeting participants at the illegal calls of the organizers of the meeting, since those actions jeopardize the lives and health of road users.
Police will be compelled to take proportionate legal measures envisaged by law to suppress offenses.
We call on the participants of the illegal meeting, marching along the streets of the capital, to fulfill their obligations, not to prevent the police officers from performing their professional duties and refrain from insulting them.
We urge the organizers of the meeting to stop the disproportionate restriction of the rights and freedoms of citizens, in order to avoid endangering the lives and health of the residents of the capital, to organize meetings in areas where offenses will be excluded.
