We would hereby like to inform that these days meetings and rallies are being held in the administrative territory of the city of Yerevan in violation of the requirements of the RA law "on freedom of assembly".
In particular, more than 100 participants take part in rallies, though the heads of administrative districts do not receive any appropriate notification, which has resulted in blocked carriageways and disrupted transport in the capital.
Police of the Republic of Armenia calls on the organizers and participants of the protests to stick to the letter of the law and not to restrict the freedom of other citizens, not to impede the free entry and exit of people from the buildings located at or near the venues of the protests, as well as to refrain from actions that violate public order.
Simultaneously, Police of the Republic of Armenia warns that transgression committed by the organizers or participants of the protests will be given an appropriate legal assessment within the law.
