ARMENIAN POLICE RECOGNIZED AS THE BEST LAW ENFORCEMENT BODY (video)

Police of the Republic of Armenia has been recognized as the best law enforcement agency of 2015 according to the survey recently conducted by “International Media Holding”.
On Friday, January 29, 2016 the Award ceremony attended by award-winning agencies, representatives of various organizations, journalists and guests took place, during which the nominations and the award-winning structures were announced.
5 agencies were chosen to be surveyed, namely the Investigation Committee, Police, Prosecutor General's Office, Compulsory enforcement service and National Security service of the Republic of Armenia.
The absolute majority of the respondents to the survey (52 %) thinks that the best law enforcement agency of 2015 is Police of the Republic of Armenia. According to the survey results Police has received much more votes than all other surveyed candidates put together.
Expressing his gratitude for the public assessment of the police performance, Head of the Public Relations and Information Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Aharonyan noted that the police reforms are positively assessed by both our fellow citizens and authoritative international organizations, in this regard it is not accidental that only two months ago Armenia was included in the top 10 safest countries of the world.
High assessment also obliges to eliminate the shortcomings and gaps still existing in the police activity and this has so far been a number one priority of the structure.
There are various criteria of police activity but we attach special importance to the impartial assessment of our citizens, as public opinion allows to review what has been done, to outline future actions and adhere to the course of constant improvement.
