Internationally wanted Iranian citizen detained by Armenian police officers

On Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran Fariba Tavasoli, DOB 1974, was detained thanks to the special measures taken by officers from the General Department of Criminal Intelligence along with their colleagues from «Zvartnots» airport Line division of Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The man had been declared internationally wanted by the Iranian law enforcement bodies charged for committing a crime envisaged by part 1 of the law on strengthening punishment of offenders who have committed bribery, swindling, and squandering.
Custody has been selected as a measure of restraint.
F. Tavasoli has been taken to the place of keeping arrested persons at the Yerevan City Department of Police of the RA.
The General Prosecutor's Office of the RA and the Interpol NCB in Armenia have been informed about Tavasoli's detection.
