Signs prescribing the allowed speed which is higher than the maximum speed stipulated by traffic rules were placed in Yerevan city

At various suggestions of citizens,  deputies and public organizations, the Traffic police made new studies and, taking into account road capacity, traffic intensity and  conditions of ensuring safety, signs prescribing the allowed speed which is higher than the maximum speed, stipulated by traffic rules, were placed on two road sections, on which speedometers have recently been placed. Particularly, a road sign which prescribes speed limit of 80 km/h was placed on Ashtarak highway, in the direction of Ashtarak town, and another one prescribing speed limit of 60 km/h was placed on Nubarashen highway (maximum allowed speed on both sections used to be 60 km/h).
The Traffic Police once more calls on the drivers to keep the Traffic rules and drive at speed not exceeding the maximum allowed speed.
