A working conference in the police of the Republic of Armenia (VIDEO)
On February 20 a working conference presided over by the chief of the police, Lieutenant General Vladimir Gasparyan took place in the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The Police chief touched upon the work towards ensuring the normal course of the elections and maintenance of proper public order, carried out by the relevant police subdivisions and then he attracted the conference members' attention to the peculiarities of public order maintenance in the post-election period and demanded to be guided by the principle of the supremacy of law in all the situations.
The police chief also underlined the necessity of prompt and complete inquiry of the transgressions recorded during the campaign and on the Election day.
Vladimir Gasparyan ordered to make a daily report on the process of the inquiries on the electoral violations and to periodically inform the society.
By the end of the conference Vladimir Gasparyan emphasized that despite of the fact that the police subdivisions are sufficiently loaded with tasks, they are obliged to completely fulfill their main function, i.e. prevention of crime, precaution and detection of offences, public order maintenance.
