Regional conference on «Women policing» in Tbilisi
From March 3 to March 6 a regional conference on «Women policing» took place in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, which was aimed at enhancing law enforcers’ qualification and emphasizing the role of the female in police system. 
Representatives from Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova and Azerbaijan partook in the conference. 
The conference was opened with the speech of the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Irakli Gharibahsvili and international experts.
During the conference heads of the delegations made reports, including the head of the Armenian delegation, senior inspector in the Legal expertise division of the Legal department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Major Mariam Gevorgyan. Greeting the organizers and the participants of the conference, she spoke about the formation of the RA police, radical changes which have recently been made in the police system, current reforms, establishment of a new subdivision within the Patrol-Sentry Service of Yerevan city department within the scope of those reforms, as well as enhancing the role of the female in the police system.
The conference agenda was various and included lectures, discussions, team works. The international experts from the USA used computer technologies to make the classes more practical and instructive. 
At the end of the conference, on March 6, a state reception took place and the participants were granted with certificates. 
The conference was very effective and gave a chance to make new acquaintances, exchange experience and have interesting discussions. Those three days passed in a warm atmosphere and the Armenian police officers came back to Yerevan with unforgettable memories, going on with their service in which they do believe.
